General Summary: The Java Developer/Solution Architect is responsible for turning business objectives, tasks and projects related to the Product Development Lifecycle Management (PLM) system and its associated ERP interfaces into fully realized Java code.   S/he will work with the ERP Implementation Team and R&D Systems group to define, scope, program, test and implement changes to the PLM system to meet current and future business needs.   S/he acts as the primary point of contact for executing the development of software code between PLM and ERP systems.

This is a contract position.

Essential Job Functions:

  • In conjunction with  ERP Technical Implementation Team, develop software interfaces between PLM and ERP.
  • Maintain project schedules and tasks related to PLM technical enhancements; work with the ERP Project Manager to coordinate overall scheduling and implementation timelines.
  • Architect, program, test and implement Java/J2EE software code for the enhancement of the PLM system and/or ERP in coordination with the ERP Project Manager.
  • Act as the solutions architect, programmer, tester, trainer and implementer of Java/J2EE software code for solving business tasks and objectives related to PLM and ERP.  
  • Using  open source change control toolsets (e.g. CVS, Subversion),  build control to maintain/control implementations and build releases.
  • Write and conduct tests to verify the functionality, accuracy, and efficiency of developed or enhanced software code. Develop and initiate design changes or enhancements as necessary.
  • Coordinate releases and build schedules with the IT Technical Manager and ERP Project Manager.
  • Responsible for estimating the required time and resources to complete assigned projects or tasks so that they are  completed in an accurate and timely fashion.
  • Research new technologies to automate or enhance existing systems.
  • Perform technical work  in the application of standard techniques and procedures in carrying out tasks (i.e. the SDLC programming methodology).

Other Job Functions

  • Use SQL for ado database programming fixes/modifications as dictated by enhancement/modification objectives.
  • Provide coaching and mentorship to peers on an as needed basis.

  • Four (4) year college degree in Computer Science, related fields and/or equivalent experience. 
  • Minimum four (4) years programming experience in Java, JSP and JavaScript
  • Strong technical background in architecting and implementing solutions written in Java/J2EE and ability to work and collaborate in a team environment.  
  • Excellent object-oriented design & programming skills in Java/J2EE.
  • Advanced knowledge of Structured Query Language (SQL).  Microsoft SQL Server or Oracle DB experience preferred.

X++ Programmer/Analyst

General Summary: The X++ Programmer/Analyst will design, engineer, test and deploy X++ programming modules to enhance the Microsoft Dynamics Axapta (AX) ERP system.   S/he will develop and write technical specifications in accordance with functional specifications to solve business process, tasks and objectives. S/he will work with the Technology Manager to design, code, test and deploy X++/.NET software code to solve ERP enhancement requests, legacy to ERP integration tasks and data migration duties.

This is a contract position.

Essential Job Functions

  • Develops new and/or enhance existing modules according to functional and technical specifications.
  • Write test scripts and test new and/or enhanced modules.
  • In conjunction with the ERP Technical Team, ERP Business Analysts and the Technology Manager, develop functional and technical specifications.

Aircraft Composites Materials-Process Engineer

  •  Developing and documenting specifications, procedures, processes used to produce the large-scale composite airframe both internal make and at suppliers. (i.e. environmental, material properties, cure cycles,
